All About Wardrobe

Have you started thinking about outfits for your upcoming session? It sneaks up quicker than you'd think! Did you know a thoughtfully planned wardrobe is actually the thing that's going to take your session to the "WOOOOOOW, IM OBSESSED" level when you see your final gallery? Trust us, wardrobe makes the BIGGEST difference.

With that said, we wanted to share some quick tips and tricks (and some links if you're looking for more help) to make things fun AND easy for ya!

#1: TONES + COLORS

Earthy and jewel tones photograph BE-A-U-TIFULLY! Pro-Tip: if we're shooting in an outdoor location with lots of green, try to avoid it so ya don't become camouflage ;)  And did you know bright/neon shades don't photograph well? They can cast a weird color on everyone's skin, and I gotta say, it's not pretty.

#2: CUSTOM WARDROBE STYLING

Would having your whole family's wardrobe custom curated for you where all you have to do is fill out a short questionnaire about your style/preferences and then click "add to cart' be your dream? Good news! We know choosing and selecting wardrobe pieces for the whole family is overwhelming for most. If we're going to do Custom Wardrobe Styling, requests must be made at least 4 weeks prior to your session date to make sure there's enough time for styling and shipping. We have so much fun getting to do this for our clients and would love to get to take this off your to-do list!

#3: DIY STYLING

More of a DIY kinda person? I highly recommend our online wardrobe styling service because it makes shopping a breeeeze! Each item is carefully chosen to ensure it both coordinates and photographs beautifully - and shopping for the whole family can be done in under 30 minutes (whattt?!) This service even pulls items from your favorite stores like Gap, Old Navy, Target, Free People, Vici... it's incredible!

  • Be sure to shop early to allow for shipping and/or returns

  • Choices are updated every 48 hours, so if you aren't loving the first round of options, check back later
